Masks are optional in library buildings.

Masks are required at children's programs for participants ages 2 and up. We reserve the right to ask you to wear a mask if you are working closely with staff.

Spring Semester

Low intermediate: 3 p.m.

Advanced: 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, June 1

High intermediate: 10 a.m.

Beginner: 3 p.m.

Community Mindfulness Project Meditation

2022 Reading Challenge

Sign up for our 2022 Reading Challenge.

This challenge is for both fast and slow readers. Whether you read a book a week or one every month—e-books and audiobooks count—there will be a prize drawing for those who finish reading 12 books from the list and another drawing for those who finish 52 books. The challenge ends December 2022.

Hip Hop Pioneer DMC to Visit Library

June 8 at 6 p.m.

Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, a founding member of the hip hop group RUN DMC, will visit the library Wednesday, June 8 at 6 p.m. to talk about his children’s picture book, Darryl’s Dream, a story about finding confidence, facing bullies and celebrating yourself.

The program will include remarks and Q & A with DMC, a poetry slam and children’s dance performance and book giveaway (one per family). Register. Also available via Zoom. Login at the time of the event.

A commemoration of Juneteenth

Ronald “Smokey” Stevens, a recipient of The NAACP 11th Annual Theater Arts Award, adapted his autobiographical novel, I Just Want to Tell Somebody: The Autobiography of Ronald Smokey Stevens, into a one-man, two-character theater production.

Funding provided by The Bowser Family, Wellbuilt Company, Friends of the Ferguson Library, Stamford NAACP and gifts from private sources.
