The Florida Democratic Party is proud to announce the launch of the Take Back Florida Coordinated Campaign and the hire of its Coordinated Campaign Director. The Take Back Florida Coordinated Campaign is a unified statewide effort to register voters, re-enroll Floridians to vote by mail, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024.

Lisa Peth, a veteran political strategist with ten years of experience in Florida politics, is joining the Florida Democratic Party as Coordinated Campaign Director. Peth, a Florida native, previously served the Party as the Northeast Florida Regional Field Director in the 2018 elections — a cycle that saw Duval County turn blue for the first time in decades — and as the Party’s first ever Municipal Victory Director from 2019–2021. As Municipal Victory Director, Peth developed and trained hundreds of candidates, campaign staffers, and volunteers on the fundamentals of local elections and pathways to victory in Florida. Since then, she has continued building the Democratic bench as Executive Director of the Florida Pipeline Project, an organization dedicated to long-term power building and creating a reflective democracy for state and local candidates.

Coordinated campaigns are a key part of any election cycle, enabling the Democratic ecosystem to direct resources and steward investments into key races and shared priorities. The Florida Democratic Party is supported in this effort by the Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee, Florida Senate Victory, the re-election campaign for Daniella Levine Cava for Miami-Dade Mayor, Ruth’s List Florida, and a broad coalition of elected officials, organizations, and everyday working Floridians joining together in a strategic partnership to advance Democratic candidates and values in 2024 and beyond.

This launch follows two consecutive seven-figure fundraising quarters for the Florida Democratic Party, and a boost of incoming donations following the Florida Supreme Court’s decisions on abortion. The Take Back Florida Coordinated Campaign will open offices in South and Central Florida in the coming weeks, and will kick off a series of Voter Registration Weekends of Action with canvasses in over ten counties this Saturday.
