George Washington Birthday Ball Benefit Committee Tickets On Sale Now

On Friday, February 24, 2022, Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York will host the George Washington Birthday Ball in honor of George Washington and to benefit Fraunces Tavern Museum. The annual event serves as the Museum's biggest fundraiser.

We invite you to join this year's George Washington Birthday Ball Benefit Committee to help support the only museum in New York City dedicated to the history of the American Revolution. You can join by printing out and returning the Benefit Committee Form to Sons of the Revolution c/o Benefit Committee, 54 Pearl Street, New York, NY 10004. You can also join the Committee through our website by clicking HERE.  As a Benefit Committee Member you are entitled to a variety of benefits, including being listed on this year's Ball invitation and in the Ball Journal.

Please join by December 4, 2022 to be listed in the invitation.

Regular tickets go on sale December 5, 2022.

George Washington's New York Walking Tour

Led by Bruce Racond

Join licensed tour guide Bruce Racond to visit the New York City that George Washington would have known from 1776 to 1790! This new walking tour explores the people and places of NYC during the Revolutionary War and Washington’s first term as president, including the important contributions of women and African Americans.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Ticket purchase for this walking tour includes complimentary Museum admission.

Fraunces Tavern Museum is happy to report another successful year of innovative exhibitions and public programming sharing the history of the American Revolutionary era with the public.

The Museum opened two new exhibitions this year. In June, Governing the Nation from Fraunces Tavern, a permanent exhibition on the 2nd floor, opened depicting the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs while it, as well as the Department of War and Board of Treasury offices, were headquartered at Fraunces Tavern from 1785-1788. In October, the Museum debuted Cloaked Crusader: George Washington in Comics and Pop Culture, highlighting Washington's continued relevance to our collective past, present, and future. Throughout the year, the public flocked to our walking tours, open houses, and monthly Evening Lectures Series—in-person and virtually.

This is all made possible by the support of our community. This holiday season, the Museum asks for your help to maintain and expand our educational programming and exhibition initiatives in 2023.
