Gov. Polis Appoints Christian Hatfield as 22nd Judicial District Attorney in Dolores And Montezuma Counties

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis announced the appointment of Christian Hatfield to serve as the 22nd Judicial District Attorney in Dolores and Montezuma Counties following a thoughtful selection process. The appointment is effective June 1, 2023.

The Governor thanked Attorney General Phil Weiser for his and his team’s assistance with the 22nd Judicial District Attorney Office during this process. Gov. Polis also thanked the panel members that reviewed applications, assisted with interviews, and made recommendations to the Governor for this appointment.

Mr. Hatfield is the owner of Hatfield & Eley Law Firm in Durango, Colorado, a position he has held since 2018. He is also a part-time municipal prosecutor for the City of Durango. Mr. Hatfield has twenty-eight years of legal experience as a litigation attorney in civil and criminal law and as a government attorney.
