Governor Chris Sununu Statement Following Fiscal Committee Vote to Approve $65M in Broadband Funding

Concord, NH – Today, after the Fiscal Committee voted to approve $65 million for the Broadband Connect Program, which will connect tens of thousands of additional locations to high-speed internet, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement:

"New Hampshire is moving faster than any other state in the country to build out our broadband infrastructure and provide residents with access to fast, reliable service at one of the lowest costs per location nationally," said Governor Chris Sununu."I thank the Fiscal Committee for recognizing the importance of this project. This funding will help ensure the Granite State remains competitive in retaining and attracting workforce, business, residents, and telehealth opportunities into the future."

The item approved by the Fiscal Committee today includes $40 million for the Broadband Connect Program to provide service to the most rural parts of the state lacking internet service at one of the lowest costs per location nationally.
