Governor DeWine Appoints Bechmann to Clermont County Municipal Court

Columbus, OH -- Ohio Governor Mike DeWine On July 15th, announced the appointment of Anita Bechmann to the Clermont County Municipal Court.

Bechmann, of Williamsburg, will assume office on Aug. 1, 2022 and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Kevin Miles, who was appointed to a different bench. She must run for election in 2023 to complete the unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2027.

She began her career in law in 1992 as an associate attorney for Kathleen Mezher & Associates. Following that, Bechmann began working as a court appointed attorney for the Clermont Juvenile Court, and was an attorney, mediator, and arbitrator at her own private practice for nearly a decade.

From 1997 to 2015 Bechmann worked as a Clermont County public defender, where she was a staff attorney for the Municipal and Juvenile Courts and has most recently been a magistrate at the Clermont County Municipal Court for the last seven years. 

Bechmann received her law degree from the University of Cincinnati, and undergraduate degree from the College of Mount Saint Joseph.

She currently is a member of the Clermont County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Ohio Association of Magistrates.
