Governor Doug Ducey’ Christmas Day Statement

Government and Politics

December 26, 2022

From: Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs

Dear American,

In my first Christmas message as governor for the people of Arizona, I offered a simple thank you to all those who’ve blessed my life. Eight years later, my heart is full of gratitude as my time as governor of our beautiful state draws to close.

Christmas has always been a special time of year for our family. It is a celebration of hope, a season of joy, a time to reflect on the past year and a chance to look forward with anticipation to the year about to begin anew. So as we gather with loved ones to rejoice in the birth of our Savior, I again want to offer a simple thank you to all those whose grace and goodwill are the most meaningful gifts.

To my fellow Arizonans, it is because of your spirit and strength of character that our state truly is a great place to live and work. To the women and men in our armed forces and first responders, America is indeed an exceptional nation thanks to your patriotism and courage. And to the volunteers, health care workers and educators, your sacrifice and selflessness continues to be a source of inspiration.

On behalf of the State of Arizona, thank you. May each of you have a safe, blessed day with your families and friends. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

-- Governor Doug Ducey.
