Governor Polis Appoints Reid R. Stewart to the La Plata County Court in the 6th Judicial District

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Reid R. Stewart to the La Plata County Court in the 6th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the appointment of the Honorable Anthony Nathaniel Baca to the 6th Judicial District Court and is effective immediately.

Mr. Stewart is self-employed as a Motor Carrier, a position he has held since 2022. He negotiates and reviews carrier/broker agreements. Previously, he was a Deputy District Attorney in the 6th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (2009-2022); Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Patrick J. Mulligan, P.C. (2002-2008); Associate Attorney at Stinett, Thiebaud, and Remington, L.L.P. (2001-2002); and Assistant District Attorney in Kaufman County, Texas (1999-2001). Mr. Stewart earned his B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1995 and his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 1998.
