On Tuesday, July 26, Governor Steve Sisolak will visit the UNLV Nurse Camp, which is providing hands-on experience and training to high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in nursing.

At UNLV’s Nurse Camp, students are exposed to academic, clinical and community activities, including CPR and First Aid training, Stop the Bleed training and general nursing skills training at UNLV’s simulation center as well as tours of University Medical Center and discussions with nurses and nursing students with a goal to develop a student’s expectations about nursing school and inspiring them to join the field.

The Governor will visit the camp and meet students participating and discuss the expanding program with organizers at UNLV’s School of Nursing.
