Carnation Food Fest, UMU Campus Lakes, 4-11 p.m.
Musical Entertainment: Jimmy and the Soul Blazers, UMU Campus Lakes 7-10 p.m.
The Carnation Food Fest, previously the Rib Fest and the Rib Burn Off started in the late 1980's and has evolved over the event's 25+ years of existence. Annually, the Carnation Food Fest hosts numerous food vendors which vary from ribs to elephant ears. Area bands provide entertainment each evening.

Much Ado About Nothing
We started Shakespeare At The Castle in 2014 with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and we couldn’t think of a better show to offer this summer. It feels as though we’ve all been reborn, and are seeing the world through new eyes, so starting afresh with an old favorite made perfect sense to us.
Grounds open at 5:30
Preshow entertainment begins at 6:15
Lawn chairs encouraged. Bleacher seats also available.

Carnation Food Fest, UMU Campus Lakes, Noon-11 p.m.
Musical Entertainment: Cold Shot, UMU Campus Lakes,  7-10 p.m.
The Carnation Food Fest, previously the Rib Fest and the Rib Burn Off started in the late 1980's and has evolved over the event's 25+ years of existence. Annually, the Carnation Food Fest hosts numerous food vendors which vary from ribs to elephant ears. Area bands provide entertainment each evening.

Flower Show, Jupiter, 7-9 p.m.
Gardeners are invited to exhibit their finest home grown cut flowers and cut leafy material. Area gardeners are encouraged to bring entries for the classes listed below.
Location: Jupiter, 346 East Main St
Individuals can register and drop off specimens from 7-9 p.m.

Shakespeare at the Castle, Glamorgan Castle,  7 p.m.
Much Ado About Nothing

Auto Show, Glamorgan Castle, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Gracing the Glamorgan Castle grounds are automobiles; from the very old to the very new and from the super elegant to the sporty hot rod.
The Greater Alliance Carnation Festival's annual Auto Show brings car enthusiasts from all over with more than 300 cars!

Pedal Tractor Pull, Pedal Tractor Pull,UMU Campus Lakes, 2-4 p.m.
Fun for ages 3-100! Knox Ruritan pedal tractor pull.  Tractor and weight exchanger furnished.
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Event is by age group (youngest-oldest). Adults included

Hike and Seek, Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center, 1-5 p.m.
Come out to the Nature Center to explore the woods while scouting for cut outs of common woodland animals.
Grab a checklist in the Visitors Center and follow a designated trail to find animals along the way.
Join us for a music jam. Bring an instrument or just come to listen. Beginners are welcome.  Starting at 2pm.  Programs and access are free and open to the public.

After years of the Carnation Triathlon (now retired), the Carnation Trail Run is an opportunity for those who like to run and want a unique view of the city. The event begins and ends at First Christian Church.

How Books Are Made, Silver Park, 6:30 p.m.
Samantha Swank is an Alliance, Ohio native. She graduated from Hofstra University in 2013 with degrees in English and History and spent twelve years living in the New York City area. She is an editor at Scholastic in the Licensing, Media, and Brands group, working on tie-books for brands like Clifford the Big Red Dog, The Dodo, Lethal Lit, Hunt A Killer, and Harry Potter.
When she’s not working or reading the latest mysteries, rom-coms, and presidential biographies, Sam can be found singing karaoke, catching up on her DVR, overanalyzing the MCU, or playing fetch with her cat, Mrs. Hudson.

BEECH CREEK BOTANICAL GARDEN & NATURE PRESERVE will be offering an exhibit on Levi Lamborn and information on the scarlet carnation, as well as hands-on crafts for children. Both of these activities are free. Exploring the grounds and all current exhibits, including the butterfly house is subject to the Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve general admission cost. The cost is $8 per person, ages 2 and under are free, and seniors (ages 65+) are $5 per person. Beech Creek Members receive free admission.

Hot Air Balloons Lift-Off, Silver Park, 7 p.m.
One of the many joys of Days in the Park can be found in the sky when anywhere from 7 - 10 Hot Air Balloons take flight.  A family tradition for some, and for others it can be a new experience.
Mother nature doesn't always cooperate, so we do NOT have a rain date.  Whether you choose to watch from afar or near, it is definitely an event to watch.

This event is held each year to honor those queens and courts who visit the Carnation City to participate in the Grand Parade.
