Saturday, October 1, from 2-3 p.m. in the Round Auditorium
(All Ages) Show off your creativity with different printmaking techniques that is enjoyable and relaxing for the whole family.

Homeschool Hour: Mad Science
Monday, October 3, from 11-11:45 a.m. in the Round Auditorium
(K-5th Grade) The Science Lady is back, and she’s going to make you fall in LAB with different science concepts one experiment at a time!
Wee Ones
Tuesdays, October 4-25, from 9:30-10 a.m. in the Round Auditorium
(Preschool) Join Miss Mary for a fun and energetic storytime with lots of singing and dancing!

Tabletop 4 Tweens
Tuesdays, October 4 and 18, from 4-6 p.m. in Room 110
(4th-5th Grade) All 4th and 5th Graders are welcome to play Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Sushi Go!, Labyrinth, and other board and card games for an afternoon of tabletop fun!
PJ Storytime
Tuesdays, October 4-25, from 6-6:30 p.m. in the Round Auditorium
(All Ages) Come to the library in your pajamas and hear great stories and songs before bedtime with Miss Kelly!

Storypalooza
Wednesdays, October 5-26, from 9:30-10 a.m. in the Round Auditorium
(Preschool) Join us for a good ol’ time with Miss Aaliyah’s energizing storytime to get everyone ready for the day!
Barks and Books
Wednesdays, October 5-26, from 3:30-4 p.m. in the Round Auditorium
(K-5th Grade) Spend an afternoon with our friends from the Greater Birmingham Humane Society by reading (or just simply hanging out) with some friendly pups!

Tinker Tales
Thursdays, October 6-27, from 9:30-10 a.m. in the Round Auditorium
(Preschool) Join Miss Erika for a fun-filled storytime! After stories it’s time to fire up your imagination and tinker around with friends for some Loose Parts Play.
American Sign Language for Kids
Thursday, October 6, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 102
(K-5th Grade) Learn basic American Sign Language with our friends from the Alabama Institute of Blind and Deaf, which includes fun games and activities perfect for all ages.

Breakfast Club
Saturday, October 8, from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Round Auditorium
(All Ages) Come by for some yummy cereal and entertaining activities to wake you up on a Saturday morning!
Homeschool Hour: Know It All!
Monday, October 10, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Round Auditorium
(K-5th Grade) Learn from local organizations what exciting and educational programs they offer for children. This month, kids are going to learn about Sloss Furnace’s history, science, technology, materials, and artifacts.

Upcycling Crafternoon

Bake & Make
Thursday, October 20, from 6-6:30 p.m. on Zoom Meeting
(All Ages) If you enjoy baking and making scrumptious creations, join us for this fun Zoom program! Families will pick up their baking kits at the children’s desk in preparation for the event (baking kits may include items containing gluten, dairy, nut and egg products). This bag sale is sponsored by Homewood Heating and Air. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Friends Bookstore we are having a $5 bag sale on October 27-29. Bags will be provided.
The Online Presale is October 11-22. During that time, you can purchase up to two curated bags online to pick up in the Friends Bookstore on October 27-29 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. You can purchase bags here.
