Hygienic Art Needs Your Support!

2022 has been a wonderful year thanks to all of our supportive friends! Your gifts and support directly impact our mission to offer exceptional cultural experiences and open up opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds to be inspired, explore, and feel a connection in the arts. Through your gift of time, kind words of praise, and donations to our efforts - we continue to grow and create this vibrant community at Hygienic Art. In doing so has spurred the continued economic revitalization of our region through the arts. We are honored to have been awarded First Place Best of the Best Art Galleries 2022 by The Day Newspaper.

Throughout the year we hosted 16 visual art exhibits, over 40 concerts with local, regional, and national acts, and 8 local author readings. We had thousands of supporters attend our openings, concerts, and events. Included in those 16 exhibits is an annual show featuring art by New London, Waterford, and Saint Bernard High School Students. And for the third consecutive year, we hosted The Drop-In Learning Center Summer Camp. We requested and received funding through Yale New Haven Hospital to offer yoga, led by Yogi Kim Abraham, to the kids to center and ease stress and anxiety. In addition, Hygienic Art offered weekly art enrichment classes to offer an expressive outlet for the Drop-In kids this summer.

We are grateful to our volunteers, supporters, members, resident artists, and staff for their participation in a variety of roles that support our mission. Hygienic Art

The largest cultural arts center in New London and leader in the arts, entertainment, tourism, and economic industries.Hygienic Art has presented more than 500 art exhibits, 275 music and cultural events, and youth educational programs annually over the past two decades. As a non-profit organization, we work to improve the quality of life of New London and the region.

Our Mission

Hygienic Art’s mission is to inspire, enrich, and instill a sense of community by promoting a free public art forum with events to stimulate economic development, tourism and educational projects for the City of New London and surrounding areas.
