Our dancers compete in Berlin!

We are proud to have six of our talented dancers Sarah Richter, Payton Knauss, Charlotte Hume, Nicole Cao, Josephine Chen and Emma Lin representing the International Ballet Academy at the XX TANZOLYMP International Dance Festival in Berlin.   Dancers will be participating in this annual competition with classical and contemporary pieces choreographed by artistic director Vera Altunina and instructor Francois Berga.

From the 16th to the 20th under the theme “Dance as a global language“, IBA dancers and other young talents from around the world will have the opportunity to participate in organized events, workshops, seminars and experience to the fullest the this event and city culture.

The International Ballet Academy strives to provide our dancers with all the training, support and encouragement they need to succeed and proudly represent their own art and our Academy’s.

SUMMER INTENSIVE
JULY 1st to Aug 9th | Auditions February 25th at the IBA Studio

Summer Intensive (July 1st - August 9th, 2024)
AUDITION & REGISTRATION - Audition is required for placement.

Current IBA Students are required to audition. (Not Pre-PD or PD)

Dancers must be 10 years old by January 1st, 2024

Our Academy offers two different ways to audition for the new semester:?

1. IN-PERSON AUDITIONS

February 25th, 2024 Dancers may audition in-person at the IBA Studio.

 Ages 10 to 13? at 11:00 to 12:30 PM

Ages 14 and up at 12:45 to 2:15 PM

2. VIDEO AUDITION?

Students may send in a Video Audition. All video auditions must be submitted at the time of registration.

Audition tapes must include barre (plies, tendu, and adagio) and center (adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro, and pirouettes.)

Summer Intensives are designed to provide expert training through unique instruction under our Academy's distinguished faculty. Through class instruction, end-of-session conferences with the Artistic Director and Assistant Artistic Director, and private instruction with IBA faculty, dancers develop a rock-solid foundation from which to build their technique. Our rigorous ballet training program is based on the Vaganova method, while non-ballet dance classes elevate a student's technique to new heights.
