On Wednesday, Governor Steve Sisolak delivered a keynote address on the first day of the Nevada Housing Coalition’s third annual statewide Nevada Housing Conference at the Peppermill Reno. During the conference, housing stakeholders from across the state gathered to discuss ways to address the housing crisis.

This keynote address comes a day before the Nevada Legislature’s Interim Finance Committee is expected to approve the second half of funding for Governor Sisolak’s “Home Means Nevada” initiative – the largest affordable housing investment in Nevada history. Later this month, the Nevada Housing Division will announce its first awards to developers.

“From our youngest children to our seniors, people across the state are relying on us to take tangible action – and we’ve seen the significant and historic steps we can take to address the housing crisis when we work together,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “I’d like to thank the Nevada Housing Coalition for their work to improve the lives of Nevadans and our collaboration to find solutions that work for all of our communities.”
