The Town of Franklin, North Carolina invites you to our Independence Day Parade & Celebration.

Schedule of Events:

11:00 A.M: PATRIOTIC PARADE

You can be part of Franklin's Annual Patriotic Parade at 11:00 a.m. While you go most places to see a parade, we actually invite you to participate! Deck out in red, white and blue and walk or drive down Main Street. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. To join in, just be in the lower level of Franklin Town Hall for lineup beginning at 10:30 a.m.

FOLLOWING PARADE: FREE WATERMELON & MORE!

We're bringing back a July 4th tradition as the Town of Franklin will be serving FREE Watermelon as long as it lasts following the parade.

The first 200 people in line will receive a FREE Kona Ice ... also .... The first 200 people in line will receive a FREE Fireworks Popsicle from Carolina Ice Cream.

Again, these free offerings are following the Patriotic Parade ONLY

11:30(ISH): LITTLE MISS & MISTER FIRECRACKER CONTEST

The Little Miss & Mr. Firecracker Contest is open to all girls and boys ages 3 to 6.  It is patriotic in nature with entrants judged on their patriotic attire and one simple question.  No registration or entry fee is required for this family-friendly contest.

To enter, be at the gazebo stage at 11:30 a.m.

11:45(ISH): PATRIOTIC PET CONTEST

Deck your pets out in red, white, and blue for the Town of Franklin's Patriotic Pet Contest. Your pet will be judged on its patriotic attire. This is always a fun contest that brings lots of smiles and cute pets to the Gazebo on the Square.

To enter, be at the gazebo stage around 11:45 a.m.

12:00 TO 2:00 P.M: LIVE MUSIC AT THE GAZEBO ON THE SQUARE

Paradise 56 will perform from Noon until to 2:00 p.m. for those attending the Town of Franklin's July 4th Celebration. They will get your feet moving with Rhytym & Blues, Reggae and more!

As with all events schedule for July 4th, the music is free!

9:30 PM: FIREWORKS OVER FRANKLIN!
Plans are being finalized for Fireworks Over Franklin. Again in 2022 the Park & Watch Fireworks Display begins at 9:30 pm. The show will be produced by Hale Artificier of Lexington, NC. You can view the show from the top of Town Hill to East Franklin. This all aerial fireworks display will be launched across from the Shops at Riverwalk, formerly the East Franklin Shopping Center at the intersection of East Main Street & Highlands Road. Remember, this is a Park & Watch show.

Please Note: No admittance to the fireworks grounds. This is a park & watch show only. Any unauthorized vehicles in the safety zone will be towed.
