As we at Inland SoCal United Way get ready to close the books on our fiscal year we look back at all that we have accomplished together for our region in the last 12 months. We assisted nearly 500,000 callers to 211, connecting them with vital resources and removing barriers to access for some of our most vulnerable populations to get the help they desperately need.  

Our 211 Careers team has placed residents with good-paying local jobs, helping to grow our economy and increase the workforce. The HelpLine has provided mental health and suicide intervention and connected hundreds of people to mental health services. We’ve provided supplies to struggling schools and food to struggling families. The list goes on and on, and it was only possible because of each and every one of you that chose to partner, volunteer, or donate so that ISCUW had the resources to deliver on our mission to unite people, ideas, and resources to empower our community and improve lives. It’s not too late to have an even great impact. Consider making a contribution before the end of June, and thank you for all you do.

June 19 marks a historically important event in the U.S. known as Juneteenth, it’s considered by many to be the country’s second Independence Day.
Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when thousands of enslaved people in Texas were ordered free – nearly two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been put in place. We honor the courage, strength, and determination of the Black community. While we have come a long way, we must reflect on the work that still needs to be done to reach true freedom and racial equality.

In celebration and in honor of Juneteenth, our offices are closed on Monday, June 20, for a day of reflection.
In the Inland SoCal region, we can boost education, financial stability, health, and housing for all people.
Our world looks different than anyone imagined a few years ago. Whether it’s because of the war in Ukraine, COVID’s economic impact or inflation – it’s a challenging time.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the most vulnerable – including low-income ethnic and racial minorities, the youngest and oldest in under-resourced communities, and anyone who was barely getting by before – are struggling more than ever.

Inland SoCal United Way and 211+ stepped up to respond, as we always do. We’re helping people deal with immediate needs. But we’re also helping communities recover – and rebuild. We envision a strong, resilient community where everyone can thrive.

Here’s what we’re tackling right now:

-Strengthening skills for workforce preparation, job placement, and job advancement for low-income individuals
-Work in partnerships with local schools to provide support services that improve student success
-Providing comprehensive information and referral programming as a vital social service that supports the well-being of the Inland Southern California region
-Connecting individuals with resources to improve their physical and mental well-being; assisting in navigating the process of accessing needed health services
-Working to reduce recidivism by supporting the successful and sustainable transition of formerly incarcerated members back into our community

Together, we offer local solutions that will make a difference throughout the Inland Southern California region. Together, we can make life better for those who need help the most right now. Join us today.

Inland SoCal United Way partners with SingleCare (formerly FamilyWize) to provide community members with access to affordable prescription medications, ensuring greater health and financial stability.

The SingleCare prescription savings card:

-Always free to use by everyone. Just show it to the pharmacist
-No registration or eligibility requirements. Use it right away!
-Save up to 80% on 10,000+ prescription medications
-Accepted at major pharmacy chains nationwide
-Sign up on SingleCare.com for additional member savings (earn $1 per eligible script!!)
-Works whether or not you have health insurance
-Unlimited uses

How it works:

-SingleCare negotiates fair drug prices directly with major pharmacies like CVS, Walmart, and Walgreens. They pass the savings onto you, free of charge.
-To start saving with SingleCare, just show the savings card to your pharmacist every time you fill a prescription at a participating pharmacy. The discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
