The Jungle Book

“The Jungle Speaks to me, because I know how to listen” - Rudyard Kipling, Author of The Jungle Book

The cast for our upcoming production of The Jungle Book has been announced and rehearsals have started! This beautiful and colorful IBT’s Children production was created to engage, entertain, and inspire young audiences and families with a message about friendship, family, and the journey home.

The Jungle Book explores themes of identity, belonging, and the balance between civilization and the natural world where our hero confidently faced his fears and triumph over them. It follows the journey of Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves in the jungle, as he navigates the challenges of growing up and finding his place in the world. The story also delves into the relationships between humans and animals, and the importance of respect for nature and its inhabitants.

This visually engaging production is inspired  by The Jungle Book written by the English novelist and Nobel Prize for Literature awardee Rudyard Kipling (1907). It features the experienced and semiprofessional dancers from the International Ballet Academy and the preparatory school of International Ballet Theatre with choreography by Vera Altunina & Jerry Tassin with adaptations from Helen Eugene.

Education and Outreach at IBA/IBT

The Education and Outreach Program at IBA/IBT continues to work with our schools, communities, and families. Our goal is to develop deeper relationships with the purpose of creating meaningful and long lasting connections as we bring awareness of the arts and nurture the young artists of our community.

With such intention in mind, we are working with the Seattle Children’s Hospital and schools in our area to bring the joy of the upcoming production to children and youth hoping to inspire them and share with all the message of love, kindness and courage display in this production.

We look forward to have many of our dancer ambassadors to join this effort.
Please reach out to Eliana at [email protected] if interested.
