This Week

Sensory-Friendly Night

Wednesday, October 18th from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. This event is FREE.

This FREE monthly program is specifically for children with neurodivergent needs, such as developmental disabilities. Siblings and other family members are encouraged to attend and participate as well.

Sensory-Friendly Nights offer the chance to explore the Museum without the noise, large crowds, and stimulation of the typical museum visit. We limit the number of families who can attend and provide sanitized adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones, timers, fidget toys, and visual schedules.

Registration is required. Register here.

Garden Party

 Friday, October 20th from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM.

Get ready for Halloween with some Spooky Science! Join us for family-friendly hands-on activities and crafts. Meet our partner, the North Carolina Fossil Club, and explore real fossils. If your child has a fossil they want identified, bring it in! Also listen to story time and live music by Meadowlark Music!

Thank you to our sponsor, NC GlaxoSmithKline Foundation, and to our activity sponsor, For Garden’s Sake!

Haunted House Gingerbread Workshop

Saturday, October 21st from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM.

Summon your crew to create as a group or drop off your kiddos to our Haunted House Hangout. Assemble your haunted house with pre-made cookie walls and ghoulish icing. Make it a monster mansion by adding colorful candy to the walls and roof. A seasonal snack station will help to ensure your haunted house makes it home and does not get devoured at the event. You will want to display it on halloween night for all your friends and family!

Register here.

We enrich their experience with a delightful mix of visual, auditory, language, and social stimulation. It's a dynamic blend of discovery and fun, tailored to this crucial early stage of childhood development. What sets us apart? Our classes are led by a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist, ensuring that your child receives expert guidance in every session.
