Livermore, CA - Livermore Valley Arts always strives to celebrate wherever it can, and this week, National Arts in Education Week, is no exception. The arts are an essential part of a comprehensive education, no matter if it happens in the home or school, theater or community. Students of all ages—from kindergarten to college to creative aging programs—benefit from artistic learning, innovative thinking, and creativity. Celebrating National Arts in Education Week is a way to recognize this impact and share this important message with others. LVA is excited to play a part in capping off this special week: at this Friday’s Five For Fighting with String Quartet performance, the organization will be hosting a special Teacher Appreciation Evening, where before the show, educators and their guests can enjoy refreshments in the beautiful Madden Courtyard at the Theater, as well as giveaways for t-shirts and vouchers for a future Bankhead Presents show. This celebration and performance will be at the beautiful Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore.
