YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS MEETING CHARACTERS FROM 'FROZEN.'

Greeenmead Historical Park is hosting the Snow Ball 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Alexander Blue House. Join us for an afternoon of frosty fun! Characters from “Frozen” will join us for songs, crafts, photos, and snacks. Ages 2-15 cost $25 per resident and $30 per non-resident. Ages 16 and older cost $10 per resident and $12 per non-resident. All adults and children attending must register

CELEBRATE THE TWO TEAMS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Come join us at the Kirksey Recreation Center in the Party Rooms 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, for the Livonia AIR Big Game Party! Celebrate the two teams that made it to the championship. Learn about the finalists, football-themed games and snacks, and more! The cost per member is $5, residents are $10, and non-residents cost $15. Register here

Livonia AIR (Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation) Events and activities are designed for individuals with special needs. We strive to offer inclusive programming that can meet the needs of all participants while providing reasonable accommodations. All abilities are welcome.

Learn a little something this spring with our History Lecture Series Jan. 30-May 6 at Greenmead Historical Park. All Winter/Spring sessions are free drop-in programs that take place at 2 p.m. except for Monday, May. 6.

Tue, Jan. 30 - Michigan's Quest for Statehood
Presented by Roger Rosentreter

Did you know Michigan was admitted to the Union on Jan. 26, 1837? Our path to statehood was slowed by the a skirmish with Ohio known as the Toledo War. Come join us as we hear about the drama that led up to Michigan becoming the 26th state in the Union.

Next up in the series is Mon, Feb. 12 - Frances Harper Inn, Mon, March 25 - Desegregating Boblo Boats: The Story of Sarah E. Ray, Tue, April 16 - Famous Firsts: The History of the Packard Providing Grounds, and Mon, May 6 - Prohibition's Proving Ground.
