KidCreate Studio Classes and Camps Give Ages 18 Months-10 Years an Artistic Opportunity

If you’re looking to spend quality time with an 18 month-6 year old in your life, check out our KidCreate Studio art classes. Craft yourself a dinosaur diorama, firetruck painting or fishy creation with our upcoming classes 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, June 28, July 26 and Aug. 16, at the Kirksey Recreation Center.

We also have arts and crafts summer camps for ages 4-10. Check out both the classes and camps, and register, at LivoniaParks.org.

Final Weekend to Check Out a Century of Wedding Trends

It's the final weekend of Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue at Greenmead Historical Park. Come explore wedding attire from the past 100 years; along with stories and photos from the day, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Simmons-Hill House on the west side of the park. This exhibit will also feature Mrs. Hill's gown, which has been recently restored and is on display for the first time.

Register online in advance or pay cash/check at the door. Admission will cost just $5 for the May 14 event both in advance and at the door! Presented by the Livonia Historic Preservation Commission.

Wayne County Parks Seeking Input for Their Five-Year Master Plan

Wayne County is updating its Five-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan and wants to hear from you! This plan serves as a guide to direct funding and actions for park improvements and recreation services.
