Join us for a spellbinding 2024/25 season

LA Opera has become synonymous with grand spectacles and groundbreaking productions, and our upcoming 2024/25 season delivers just that, with beloved classics, world premieres, and top talent from around the globe.

Scroll on to see what we have in store for our historic 39th season!

Five Spectacular Operas

  • Madame Butterfly - Sold into marriage and cruelly abandoned, Cio-Cio-San dreams of true love as Puccini's classic gets a cinematic twist.
  • Romeo and Juliet - A chance meeting sparks a forbidden romance. But it wouldn't be a Shakespearean tragedy without...well, tragedy.
  • Così fan tutte - Two friends try to seduce each other's fiancée in Mozart's hilarious battle of the sexes.
  • Ainadamar - The story of a martyr, as told by his muse. Poet Federico García Lorca comes to life through a vivid, flamenco-inspired score.
  • Rigoletto - A jester enters a deadly quest to avenge his daughter, starring global headliner Quinn Kelsey in his signature role as Verdi's antihero.

Superstar Concerts with the LA Opera Orchestra:

-  Kristin Chenoweth - Hear a selection of holiday favorites and Broadway classics from the ever-popular icon of stage and screen.

-  Kelli O'Hara - You won't want to miss the LA debut of this celebrated Tony Award winner and Metropolitan Opera darling.

- Angel Blue - The hometown hero and scene-stealing soprano returns in concert for one night only.

-  Renée Fleming & Friends - The legendary soprano dazzles alongside a special surprise guest.

Off Grand Productions & Recitals:

  • Dracula: The Spanish Version - Better than the original? The critics certainly think so. Now see for yourself, as the horror classic returns with a new score by two-time Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla at The Theatre at Ace Hotel this Halloween.
  • Adoration - A piercing look at intolerance and mass hysteria in the digital age, based on Atom Egoyan's acclaimed film, continuing our collaboration with the groundbreaking Beth Morrison Projects.
  • Les Talens Lyriques - Experience the sounds of Versailles as LA Opera presents the iconic French ensemble.
  • Benjamin Bernheim - France's favorite tenor treats audiences to Mozart, Puccini, and more.
  • Ryan Speedo Green - It's a feast for the ears with a special matinee performance from the Grammy Award-winning bass-baritone.
  • Joshua Guerrero - One of the most in-demand tenors in the world returns to where it all started for a one-night-only performance. Explore the Season
