The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, an Oscar Veteran

This past Sunday brought one of LA's most exciting events: the Oscars. The movie capital of the world was abuzz with predictions and favorite picks to win, and we were just as swept up in the discourse as anyone. However, we also couldn't help but feel nostalgic for a time when the Oscars took place in our home theater.

For those who don't know, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion hosted the Academy Awards from 1969 to 1999. These are seminal years in film history, and thus many of the Oscars' most iconic moments happened right here. From a tearjerking tribute to Charlie Chaplin to Marlon Brando's controversial boycott, we've got plenty of tales to tell about this iconic awards ceremony.
