MARIAN GOODMAN AWARDED COMMANDEUR OF THE ORDRE DES ARTS ET DES LETTRES

Marian Goodman Gallery is honored to share that Marian Goodman has been awarded the rank of Commandeur of The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture, as part of the 2023 spring promotion.

The prestigious award recognizes eminent artists and creators, and those who have contributed significantly to furthering the arts and culture in France and throughout the world.

The Gallery’s commitment to arts and culture in France extends nearly thirty years and includes our collaborations with its prominent art institutions as well as our wide-ranging exhibitions presented at our Parisian spaces in the Marais.

Under the leadership of the Gallery’s Partners and Paris directors, Marian Goodman Gallery’s Paris spaces offer a wealth of diverse programming-including live activations of works, performances, readings and artist conversations-since first opening in 1995. Our program and presence in Paris serve as part of our unwavering commitment to our artists, contributing to the vibrant arts scene of France.
