AARP Tax-Aide Program

Leave a message with your name and phone number. A volunteer will return your call within one week to schedule an appointment. All tax appointments are in-person. Participant must stay for the duration of their tax appointment.

Tax appointments are made by phone only. No tax appointments will be made in person. Mastick Staff cannot assist in any tax matters.

Create healthy habits for 2024! Mastick Senior Center is launching a new program location at the Alameda Point Gym. Enjoy a large gym with forgiving floors and plenty of parking. Zumba Gold is a modified dance class that recreates original Zumba moves at a lower intensity. The formula is 70% Latin music and 30% of anything else. This dance-based class features merengue, salsa, cha-cha, reggaeton, bachata, samba, soca, hip-hop, bellydance and bhangra. Get moving and have fun! No dance experience, exercise equipment or running required. To register, click here.

East Bay Parks: Nature To You

Coming Fully Alive As You Age

Explore the positives of aging and ways to have a happier life in the later years. Classes include Finding Meaning in Life; Being Fully Alive in Body, Mind and Spirit; Aging as a Spiritual Journey; and The Uplifting Power of Humor, Pets, and Art. International Cooking
Wednesdays, February 14 - April 3

You won't need a passport to cook from different countries around the world! We will learn about culture, tastes, and celebrations while enjoying a variety of foods and flavors. "Licking the Spoon": A Creative Writing Class
Thursdays, February 15 - April 4, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

"Licking the Spoon" is a writing, remembering, sharing, and sometimes tasting creative writing workshop designed to spark food memories...and write about them. We will use our writing skills and senses to make the words almost palatable! Participants are to bring paper and pen (or laptop) and a creative writing appetite. Mastick Thrift Shop

The Mastick Thrift Shop is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Donations are accepted until FULL (space is limited) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 

Mastick Program Guidelines

We are excited to see you and want to ensure your visit to the Center is a success.  In an effort to maintain the safety and well-being of members and staff, please adhere to the following when visiting: 

• Face-coverings are strongly recommended when inside the building;
• Stay home if showing signs of respiratory illness (cough, sore throat or shortness of breath);
• Wall-mounted hand-sanitizing stations are available in each room;
• Be sure to dress in layers, bring a hat, sunscreen, and anything necessary to provide for your own comfort.
