This is my last newsletter. I will be retiring on Oct.14. I just want to take a moment to thank our whole library community for making the last 33 years so enjoyable. I am very grateful that I have been able to spend my working life in such a wonderful place, with such great people (staff and patrons) doing work that I felt helped my community. It was really a rare gift, thank you so much for the opportunity.

I would love to see as many of you as possible before I go, so, please join us for a farewell gathering on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 3 pm to 6.

Yours,
Marilyn Sherman

VHS TO DVD SERVICE IS BACK!!!
Are all your old home movies on VHS tapes that are hard to watch or share? Reserve our VHS to DVD converter to transfer your VHS tapes. There will be a staff member on hand to answer questions. Re-writeable DVDs cost $1 each. This is a time consuming process so bookings are in 2 hour increments. When you register, please leave phone number so staff can confirm your appointment. Once you are familiar with the procedure, it is possible to book the machine for other time-slots but there may not be a staff member available to answer questions outside the official appointments. Our machine is built for full size VHS tapes, though we do have an adapter for the VHS-s tapes; we cannot do 8 mm video tapes.
