Join us in fighting senior hunger

September shines a light on the crisis of senior malnutrition in America. Millions of food-insecure older adults across the nation are left without access to the nourishing meals they need to stay healthy and independent - especially those who are homebound and unable to shop or cook for themselves.

But there is a solution. In fact, 91% of seniors receiving home-delivered meals say the program helps them continue living independently, 79% report improved health and 81% say they eat healthier foods because of Meals on Wheels. With your support, we can fight hunger, provide nourishing meals and friendly visits for our aging neighbors.

From hunger to health: Robert’s story

For Robert Vinton, a former reading teacher who lost his sight at 54, access to healthy food once felt out of reach. The lack of consistent, nutritious meals left him struggling with weight gain, poor health and days when he went hungry waiting for food. After enduring a six-month waitlist, Robert finally began receiving daily home-delivered meals that have since improved his health and restored his independence.

“Meals on Wheels gives you real good nutritional meals; they don’t give you any junk,” Robert says. Today, he enjoys everything from Salisbury steak to enchiladas - meals that nourish both his body and his spirit. Robert’s story is a powerful reminder of why ensuring seniors have access to proper nutrition is essential in the fight against hunger.
