Moraine Valley Community College and Pace are offering a free, comprehensive two-week course for anyone who wants to start a professional bus operator career. After completion, participants will have a Class B commercial driver’s license and can work for Pace.
A pre-hiring screening exam and discussion is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, 6 to 9 p.m., in Building T on the college’s Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Parkway.

Those looking to enroll in the course must attend the hiring event to help prepare for employment with Pace. The screening process will include an application, computer assessment/questionnaire and background check (case by case/nonviolent offense). Vouchers also will be provided for drug screens.
Potential students need to have a valid Illinois driver’s license and obtain a Motor Vehicle Report ($12) from the Illinois Secretary of State. They can have no more than two infractions/tickets (not including red light) in the last five years.
