Join us, Make Us Visible, and the New York Chinese Cultural Center for a day of hands-on workshops dedicated to strengthening literacy instruction in your Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Humanities classrooms in culturally affirming ways. Throughout the day, educators will tour the Museum's core exhibition, meet Author Cathy Linh Che, co-author of An Asian American A to Z: A Children’s Guide to Our History, and explore how to choose books which reflect students' identities and lived experiences.

MOCACREATE: Harvest Prints with Teaching Artist Yu Rong

What’s on your Thanksgiving table? Do you have turkey, duck, or hotpot… or maybe duck hotpot? Do you see lots of friends and family, or do you keep your celebration small? Share your Thanksgiving family traditions and add them to our communal table. Then make a harvest scene inspired by the season’s bounty using fruit and veggie scraps, foam, and other materials.
