Makey Makey Experiments!

Makey-Makeys let us turn anything that conducts electricity into a piano, a game controller, or even its own game. We'll explore the basics of electricity! Presented by the SCSU Buley Library.

STEAM Explorers!

STEAM Explorers is a space for science and technology exploration for kids together with their caregivers! Let's explore science with fun, hands-on activities.

The New Haven Free Public Library, in partnership with the Yale Affinity Groups, is excited to bring you this book club for families focusing on topics of social importance! In honor of Women’s History Month, we’ll be reading Every-Day Dress-Up by Selina Alko. Learn about great women from history through a story and costume craft. Join us in person in the Children's Room!

Collage Workshop with Michael Albert

Join us for a workshop with artist Michael Albert! Albert is a collage artist who makes art from cereal boxes and other recycled materials. He will teach us how to make them too!

The Brain Body Connection: A glimpse into the world of Neuroscience

Looking to get an early start on your garden? Still learning what it takes to plant a garden? Not sure what to grow or how? Join us for a workshop to get your hands dirty starting your own vegetable and herb plants for the spring. Attendees will leave with gardening know-how and the beginnings of a new garden.
