Joe Criscuolo, chair of the New Haven chapter of SCORE, joins us to discuss how SCOREs free services can help you as an entrepreneur and small business owner. SCORE has the largest network of free volunteer small business mentors in the nation. From one-on-one mentoring to online webinars and more, SCORE is available to help you through every step of your journey!

Watercolor Resist Painting  

Wednesday, July 6, 3-4:30 pm

Resist art is an art technique where a medium is used to prevent pigment from transferring in a certain spot.  In this program, we will be using crayon as a resistance medium for watercolor paint! This type of art is fun for all ages and abilities!

Egg-Bot: A New Ives Squared Machine 

Thursday, July 21, 2-4 pm

CNC (computer numerical control) is the automated control of machining tools by means of a computer. The Egg-Bot is a CNC tool used to decorate spherical and egg-shaped objects. Decorate a wooden egg or holiday ornament to bring home with you!

If you are interested in learning the machines in Ives Squared, you can schedule an appointment here. If you are unavailable at any of these times, please contact Jennifer Gargiulo at [email protected].  

You can now learn how to use our machines online!  Watch the training video for the machine you want to learn at your convenience.  When you are ready, call us to schedule your certification test!

MakeHaven Updates!

If you are interested in learning more about what is available at MakeHaven, they are launching a new initiative called "Guided Exploration of Makerspace Skills" (GEMS) which will coach participants in achieving goals for

gaining new career-relevant maker skills at our makerspace in New Haven. They have developed 93 micro-credentials that people can earn.
