Library Announcements

Are you ready for some exciting news? We’ve been hard at work preparing for some building maintenance and collection that will take place at the end of December and the start of January!

To ensure we continue to provide the highest level of service, please take note of the closures below.

We will be offering limited service during this closure but, as always, we encourage you to pick up your holiday materials early. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon.

HOLIDAY HOURS

Sunday, December 24th and Monday, December 25th: closed for Christmas

December 26th - December 30th: library closed for renovation and staff training

Sunday, December 31st and Monday, January 1st: closed for New Years Eve and New Years Day

January 2nd - 5th: library closed for renovation and staff training

Holiday Music with SSC

Please join us for holiday music from South Shore Conservatory, featuring Sarah Troxler on piano and Donald Zook on flute.

Sarah Troxler is a musical collaborator throughout the greater Boston area and at SSC serves as Piano Department Chair. Donald Zook is Co-Chair of the Woodwind and Brass Department and Director of Chamber Music at SSC and is professor of flute at Bridgewater State University.

Nailed It Challenge: Holiday Edition

Thursday, December 14th
3:30 - 4:30 PM
Registration Required

Come to the library and try to recreate a cupcake created by a professional baker. Contestants will have one hour to attempt to recreate the decorated cupcake. After the competition, competitors will get to eat their cupcakes or take them home. All supplies are included.

*Note: For Grades 6 - 12 only

Holiday Pine and Flower Arrangement Class

4:30 - 5:30 PM

Join local teacher and artisan Sarah DeSantes for a holiday pine and flower arrangement class.  

Take home your fresh centerpiece with tips on how to always have fresh flowers and greens in your home year-round.  Some you can even cut from your very own yard.
