2023 has just begun, and the Rhode Island Historical Society is preparing to go global with our theme, "Rhode Island in the World." Our state's outsized impact on the world is worth exploring, and we can't wait to take you on that journey with us.

As we make these plans, we want to be sure our work reflects and meets the interests, needs, and concerns of you, our extraordinary community of partners, members, educators, researchers, students, supporters, and friends.

To ensure your voices are heard, we are excited to participate in a nationwide survey sponsored by the American Alliance of Museums, led by Wilkening Consulting! 

The American Alliance of Museums has worked with Wilkening Consulting for many years to create surveys that help museums like ours discover how communities engage with their sites, which is more important than ever before. This survey will provide us with data from our visitors as well as nationwide results for context, helping us be more effective in the coming months and in the communities we serve.

The survey only takes about 9 minutes to complete, but in those 9 minutes you will help our team make better decisions for our future, and you will be making sure that Rhode Island's perspective is part of a national conversation on shaping the future of the museum field.
