(PHOENIX, Ariz.) The Irish Cultural Center will host six performances of William Shakespeare’s THE TAMING OF THE SHREW produced by Ronin Theatre Company, December 14 through 18.

“We have reimagined the courtship between Petruchio and Katherina for 19th Century Ireland,” said director and co-star Keath Hall, who has has directed several plays including Ronin's 2021 production of Shakespeare's HENRY V.

First produced in 1594, SHREW was the original ‘battle of the sexes’ comedy that inspired several famous adaptations including the musical KISS ME, KATE and films like McLINTOCK! and 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU.

Ronin’s cast features Hall (Petruchio), Breona Conrad (Katherina), Antoinette Martin-Hanson (Trania), Seth Scott (Hortensio), Skip Emerson (Baptista), Alex Kass (Lucentio), Ryan Jenkins (Bianca/haberdasher), Bill Griffith (Gremio), Damon Evans (Vicentio/Curtis), Katryce Bridges (Biondella/tailor), Suze St. John (Pendant, widow) and Ronin co-founder Cody Goulder (Grumio); Kate Weir is stage manager.
