Share your Productive Partnership at ILOC 2023: Session Proposals Accepted Now!

Schools and Libraries

From: State Library of Iowa

The Iowa Libraries Online Conference (ILOC) is set to take place Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 but we need your help to make it a success!

This year’s conference will be all about Productive Partnerships. While we focused on saying “yes” to opportunities last year, we realize that libraries cannot do all things. Being purposeful in determining what ideas to pursue, and with whom to undertake those pursuits, will make partnerships more productive in the long run.

The ILOC conference will encourage attendees to implement partnerships that make a difference in the lives of community members and benefit more than just a few statistics.

With that in mind, we are soliciting proposals from librarians who have developed “productive partnerships.” Ideas might include:

  • Unusual partners (unique businesses or non-profits)
  • Productive results that came from partnerships
  • Partnerships that enable the library to reach underserved populations in your community
  • Library collaborations within a county or region
  • Partnerships with other city departments
  • A new partnership that has provided benefits to the library and community
  • Partnerships that enhance programming
  • School/Library partnerships that have positive results

Does your library have a "productive partnership" to share?

Consider inviting your community partner to co-present with you in January! Find out more information and submit a session proposal for ILOC at the link below. Applications are due by Dec. 1.
