The first day will be a STEM Fair - where youth librarians can learn new ways of bringing STEM activities to their library! Our STEM Fairs will feature presentations from STEM Hub, ISU Extension and more!

If you missed our virtual Summer Library Program Workshops - don't fret!

The second day will be a half-day Summer Reading Summit! Janeé will highlight the best practices for Summer programming for ages 0-18 - and attendees can view crafts, books, and activities and get geared up for summer. At the end of this interactive three-hour session, Janeé will have attendees ready to help library users “FIND THEIR VOICE” this summer, walk away with fresh ideas for programming, and be reminded why Summer Reading matters!

It's Back! Pop YS Live: It's All About the Tweens

Wednesday, January 18, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Pop YS Live is a regular webinar series from the State Library which highlights trends and best practices in services and programming for those working in Youth Services librarianship around the state.

This month, we're focusing on Tweens – ages 9-11 – that notoriously hard-to-program-for group - that craves for independence, but can’t quite keep up with the teens... yet they’re not babies anymore! Many libraries struggle to engage 4th-6th graders at an age-appropriate level. Join Janeé for some practical solutions for collection development and programming just for them. This webinar is full of fresh and fun ideas to engage even the surliest not-a-kid-not-a-teen.
