State Library Youth Services Consultant Staff Changes

Schools and Libraries

June 23, 2022

From: State Library of Iowa

Youth Services Consultant Tegan Beese is leaving the State Library to move to Wisconsin to be closer to family. We are grateful for the work she has done to make connections with youth librarians, plan YS Pop Con, and lead All Iowa Reads kids and teen committees! Her last day will be Friday, June 24.

From Tegan:

“Thank you all for welcoming me to the Iowa library community. It has truly been a pleasure working with you all and getting to know more about your libraries. Though I’m leaving, I wish you all the best and hope to keep hearing all of the amazing things you’re doing. My last day is Friday June 24, if you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out before then. All my best!”

After June 24, please contact Brenda Hall with any youth services related questions. The State Library plans to rehire the position and will share the posting on Library Talk and the Library Job List when it is available.
