October Storytimes
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. offers weekly storytimes for children. Storytimes meet at 10:30 am. On Mondays, Toddler Time meets for ages 0-2. (No storytime on October 27). On Tuesdays, Preschool Storytime meets for ages 3-5. Baby Lapsit meets on Thursdays for babies 0-18 months. Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 2-5. October 30 and 31 are Trick or Treat storytimes. Enjoy early literacy activities and meet other families at Library storytimes. Registration required. Modern Art Mashup
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a modern art workshop for children ages 6-12 on Thursday, October 5 at 4pm. Learn about Picasso then create some representative cubist art. Book Scientists
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Book Scientist kits for children ages 3-12. Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. This month the themes will be All About Me (October 6) and Dogs (October 20. Return the Library books when they are due and keep everything else! Alphabet Parade Grab ‘n’ Go
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. is offering Alphabet Parade grab ‘n go craft kits on Friday, October 6 and 20 for children ages 2-6. The crafts feature the letters “U” and “V”. The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a jewelry making program for children ages 8-14 on Monday, October 9 at 4pm. Piano w/ Friends
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Piano with Friends: Music Basics class on Saturday October 14 at 3 pm and Tuesday, October 17 at 6pm for children ages 7-12. Learn about music notes and how to find keys on a music keyboard (class does not replace professional piano lessons). On Wednesday, October 25 at 4pm, learn some excerpts from Disney Songs (The Music Basics class is a prerequisite to the Disney Songs class).
