From: City Of Chino HillsLocal artists, photographers, and everyday residents are encouraged to submit photos representing what they think captures the essence of this beautiful City! Photos will be used to wrap utility boxes. High-quality horizontal photos showcasing landscape scenery throughout Chino Hills work best due to the size and orientation of the utility boxes. To submit photos, please visit www.chinohills.org/UtilityBoxArt. The deadline to submit photos for boxes being wrapped in 2023 is January 31, 2023.
The Utility Box Art program began in 2020 to brighten and enhance our community by showcasing more visual art in public spaces. Since its inception, a total of 20 utility boxes have been wrapped with photographs taken by local artists representing scenes inspired by the culture, historic heritage, and aesthetic beauty of Chino Hills. Members appointed to the City of Chino Hills Public Art Committee, made up of two Council Members, two Parks & Recreation Commissioners, and one Chino Hills Community Foundation member, oversee the program and art selection. In partnership with the Chino Hills Community Foundation, the City has set a goal to wrap 10 boxes each year until all 54 city-owned utility boxes are completed.
