SummerFest on the Rio, the San Luis Valley’s way of kicking off summertime fun. This annual festival depicts extensive arts and craft talents, musical entertainment for the entire family, and a multitude of activities for the kids. Walk along the winding Rio Grande in the beautiful spacious Cole Park while contemplating something from a large variety of food and drink.

The festival takes place the first weekend in June each year. Everyone is ready to go Friday at 2:00 p.m. The food and beer garden gear up for the SummerFest’s signature concerts in the park from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Saturday proves to be a big hit with the families. Vendors are all set to go at 10:00 a.m. looking forward to the community interaction. Multiple musical genres are represented on stage at the north end of the park. Music starts at 11:00 a.m. and a final amazing act winds it down by 9:30 p.m.
