Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp set for The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park Jan. 27-29!

An exciting weekend is planned at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground (SOSMP) for Jan. 27-29 when there will be music for kids and adults during the Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp heard all over this fantastic and much loved music campground!

Underneath the Spanish moss and the live oak trees at the SOSMP, in the world’s greatest music venue, is a place where all kids can come and explore music with other kids (and some adult kids!).The Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp takes place Jan. 27-29 with kids 5-18 from all over coming with their parents/guardians to enjoy learning to play harmonica, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, drums and more! There’s also a special class to learn how to sing! No instrument? No worries! Every kid attending can use an instrument provided by generous donors during the camp! These free, quarterly camps are once again happening after a long delay during the pandemic and kids and parents are ecstatic about returning! Parents MUST be on sight during classes! The weekend will begin Thursday night in the Music Hall with Ted McMullen as host of the much loved karaoke night with entertainment 7-10 p.m., doors open at 5 p.m. (only on Thursday nights!) to the Music Hall for supper and a chance to visit with others before karaoke begins. Bring your own CD, music or use Ted’s music library! If you haven’t visited Karaoke, try it! You will find many new and perhaps old friends of all ages there having the time of their lives. Come Join them!

Friday, Jan. 27, will feature Katryna Alexis performing while Saturday, Jan. 28 will feature Katie O in the Music Hall, both from 7-10 p.m. each night where you can also enjoy delicious food, dancing and making many new friends!

Sunday, Jan. 29, the kids attending the music camp will hold a concert to show off all they have learned during the weekend camp! If you attend, you will be so glad you did! Check out www.suwanneespirit.org to learn more about that event and sign up your child if spots are still available!

The SOS Café is open daily Thursday – Saturday for breakfast, lunch and supper. Live music Friday and Saturday nights in the Music Hall from 7-10 p.m. For reservations in the Music Hall, please call the SOS Café at 386-364-1703 Thursday-Saturday. During live event performances, a minimum of $5 per person is required unless otherwise specified
