Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Bridgewater that the first installment of property taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2021 is due and payable July 1, 2022.    Payments must be received or postmarked by August 1, 2022 to avoid an interest penalty.

Taxes paid after August 1, 2022 will be delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month or fraction thereof from July 1, 2022.  The minimum interest charge is $2.00.

Failure to receive a tax bill does not invalidate the tax or interest.

Payments may be mailed to:  Tax Collector, P.O. Box 171, Bridgewater, CT 06752.  E-checks and credit card payments are also accepted but are subject to a processing fee, with a minimum fee of $2.  Online tax payments may be made at www.bridgewater-ct.gov.

If you receive a tax bill from a Town in which you neither resided nor garaged your vehicle as of October 1, 2021, please contact the Tax Assessor to request a transfer to the correct Town/City of residency as of October 1, 2021.
