Sailfest is Southeastern Connecticut's premiere summertime event, complete with a major fireworks display, amusement rides, free entertainment, ships, and over 200 vendors lining the streets. There will be plenty to see, buy, and eat, so make sure to come hungry and ready to try new food!

Nosamé is an African-Native American entrepreneur, humanitarian, and vocalist. Currently stands as one of the Fenway Stadium vocalist for the Boston Red Sox and recently just delivered the anthem for Pride Night on June 15th. This man is the CEO & Founder of a marketing development firm called Lynefire Productions which provides personal branding classes here in New London CT. As well as one of the Board of Directors for the Hygienic Art Gallery.

12:30 p.m. - Blooming Into Greatness (B.I.G) is a non-profit mentorship, creative and performing arts organization that serves marginalized and underserved youth in the Greater Norwich area. B.I.G strives to provide a fun, educational, safe zone to youth ages 6 yrs to 18 yrs of age teaching activism through Liturgical dance, African dance, Poetry, Singing, and Acting.

1 pm-3pm: Free Hula Hoop lesson by Justine Nicole Performance Art at the Parade Plaza

12:30 p.m.: Pirate Invaders- Dress like a pirate and defend the City of New London- 30 Ahoy matey! There will be a Pirate Invasion at the Parade Plaza for kids. The first 50 kids will get foam sword to help defend the Waterfront from the Pirates.

10am-5pm: Visit the booth at 48 State Street to learn more about the New London Community Recreation Center project and the construction opportunities available. The design and construction team will be there to answer any questions.

6 to 8pm: Tox Brewing At The Historic Thames Club

New London locals and Sailfest visitors have a rare opportunity to see inside the historic Thames Club at 290 State Street in New London, Connecticut. At the official invitation of Tox Brewing Company, guests may access the Speakeasy at the back of the Thames Club via Washington Street where the New London brewery is hosting a special craft beer tasting event. Connecticut State Troubadour Tom Callinan will be performing traditional sea shanties during the event, which has no cover charge. Drink tickets and pub snacks will be available for purchase throughout, and the event is planned to end with plenty of time for guests to venture out to enjoy the 9pm Sailfest fireworks. Calling all runners-We are excited to announce the return of the New London Sailfest 5K. This run is open to all runners and walkers. This year all registrants will receive a Sailfest 5K running hat and all finishers will receive a New London Sailfest finisher medal. Come join is as we run the historic streets of New London. The race is Sunday July 10th with a 9 am start time.

New England Woodcarvers Inc To Hold Exhibit at The Sailfest in New London, Connecticut

New England Woodcarvers, Inc and the Thames River Gallery on 239 Banks Street, New London, CT 06320, 1-860-443-0344 will partner to present an exhibit of Master Carvings at Sailfest.

New England Woodcarvers Members who have entered carvings in the Master Class Competitions or NEWC Members who have done a carving they believe has appeal, quality, and merits exhibition are invited to enter their work for exhibition.

The Sailfest organizers and John Johnson, a well-known art dealer who owns Thames River Gallery, are excited to work with New England Woodcarvers and will promote our exhibit in their publicity campaign.
