Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. His enormous body of genre-bending music includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that soared to #1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.

He's performed with some of the world's greatest symphony orchestras, and currently serves as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. Also a New York Times bestselling author, podcast host, photographer and film/tv guest star, Folds has been an outspoken champion for arts education, music therapy, voter engagement and public policy that supports the arts.

During his visit to The Umbrella, Ben Folds will participate in a Master Class event with regional students in conjunction with Berklee College of Music. A portion of all Gold Level tickets provides underwriting support, enabling The Umbrella to provide free student access to this special event, as well as a limited number of complimentary student tickets to the concert.
