WORLD OF WONDERS

In anticipation of the October 18 & 19 visit by author and poet, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, The Umbrella Arts & Environment Program is pleased to offer the second of its free, virtual book club discussion of her best-selling book, World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, and Other Astonishments, tomorrow, Tuesday October 12.

October 18  Aimee reads from and reflects on World of Wonders followed by a book signing in our gallery. RSVP here and find out where to purchase an advance signing copy of the book.

October 19 Aimee will lead a one-day-only, creative food writing workshop on the evocative theme, "That Which Rips Your Heart with Joy: Food Writing as Provocation & Exclamation"! This hands-on workshop begins with writing prompts and exercises to generate original writing that explores "the contagious exuberance that can happen when one takes a bite of food and wants to be a student of that dish, even of a singular ingredient—to be curious about where it came from." Capacity is limited so book now!
