Take an "Art Ramble"!
The Umbrella is thrilled to announce the return of Art Ramble, a Concord tradition, starting September 1! In collaboration with the Division of Natural Resources, this annual, temporary outdoors art exhibition in Hapgood Wright Town Forest is themed "In the Balance" for 2022. Its dynamic artworks address how accelerating climate change is reaching the point of overpowering and upsetting the carefully balanced ecosystems of our surviving forests. The public is invited to explore site-specific sound pieces, installation, sculpture, and poetry situated around Fairyland Pond and parts of the historic Emerson-Thoreau Amble, connecting Concord Center to Walden Pond. Digital and print maps are available.
SAVE THE DATE: Join our Artist Reception & Walkabout on Saturday, September 17!

Flamenco a la Mexicana @ MAC
Our friends at Multicultural Arts Center invite you to experience Flamenco a la Mexicana with María Aliaga on September 9 @ 8PM!
A celebration of “mestizaje”, a very deep European and Indigenous American cultural mixture of which all Mexicans are a product, it fuses music, costumes, dances and traditions with flamenco, a Spanish art. Mexican boleros meet the chords of the Andalusian guitar, Mexican textiles turn into a flamenco dress, and La Catrina, the Mexican skull, dances flamenco. This show, created in 2014, has been presented in Mexico City and New York. Now see it in Cambridge!
