Crepe Paper Cosmos Flower Workshop

Join paper floral artist Susan Canavan as she leads a live, in-person, workshop handcrafting the cosmos flower. Adults are invited to create floral art using the highest quality Italian and German crepe paper. All materials are provided.

The Most Misunderstood Benefit: Social Security and You

Robert Rodriguez, SSA Public Affairs Specialist will provide an excellent, eye opening, humorous, and educational overview of the "most misunderstood"

benefit that all workers and retirees have!

Topics for Discussion Include: retirement, disability, survivor benefits, Medicare, spousal benefits, online services, and creation of Social Security accounts.

Ukraine: Then and Now

Independent historian Damien Cregeau explores 150 years of history between Ukraine and Russia allowing participants to better understand the current war in Ukraine and its complex relationship with Russia.

Author Talk with Ben Montgomery

Join us on Zoom to hear New York Times bestseller author, Ben Montgomery, author of Grandma Gatewood’s Walk, discuss the story of the first woman to hike the entire 2,050 mile Appalachian Trail after telling her adult children she was “going for a walk”. At 67, Emma Gatewood left in sneakers, a change of clothes, and $200. Ben researched her trip through interviews with family, other hikers, with magazine articles (she became famous along the way), and her diaries and journals. The book is a carefully researched and a very entertaining story!

Building Resiliency: Herbal Remedies to Boost and Strengthen the Immune System

In this one-hour workshop, Nora Toomey, Clinical Herbalist of True Bloom, will discuss the foundations of supporting the Immune System, dive deep into a handful of plants that support resiliency, and go over some easy herbal remedies, including recipes for Fire Cider and Elderberry Syrup. Each participant will receive an immune boosting tea blend full of many of the plants we discuss!
