MA Dredging Grant Received

On Tuesday, July 26th the Town hosted a meeting of the Seaport Economic Council and MA Dredging Program grant award event at the Harbormaster's office on Stage Harbor Road.

Lt. Governor Karyn Polito announced $3.2 million in grants to six dredging projects. Chatham received $500,000 which will be used to dredge an estimated 30,000 cubic yards of sand from the Stage Harbor entrance channel. Dredging will preserve all-tide navigation in the harbor which is the Town's deep water port supporting commercial fish off-loading, hundreds of local and transient recreational boaters, and Coast Guard and Harbormaster search and rescue assets .

Irrigation System Survey

The Town is conducting a survey of properties to determine the number and location of irrigation systems to ensure that those systems comply with Water Department Rules and Regulations.

The survey is available online and will be mailed to individual property owners. It doesn't matter how you complete the survey, we just hope that you will!
