Steve Benko Pool in Waveny Park

Season begins June 4

Opened in 2002, the Waveny Pool is now the Steve Benko Pool at Waveny Park in memorial to the passing of our long time town Recreation Director. In addition to the summertime fun, it provides a great place to meet family and friends for a swim offering swim lessons, a competitive swim team, dive team and water polo team, lap swim lanes, diving well with two diving boards and a "kiddie" pool with a giant mushroom water feature and playful water jets. A full service snack bar along with welcoming shade structures and chairs for patrons enhance your comfort at the pool. 

Kiwanis Beach at Kiwanis Park

Season begins June 11

Hidden behind the Community Nursery School on Old Norwalk Road, Kiwanis Beach has entertained residents for over 60 years. A great place for children to build sand castles and play at water's edge. Relax on the clean sandy beach with a blanket or one of our beach chairs available to the public. The park also includes an updated children's playground with gazebo, beach shade structures, a beach volleyball court, outdoor basketball court and hiking trails in the woods. We are also planning children's games and activities for this summer.
