Town Of Oakland News Call To Artists: Hispanic Heritage Exhibit

The Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland encourages adult/youth artists to submit 2D + 3D artwork including multimedia, pottery, sculpture, etc. for our Hispanic Heritage Month exhibition, "La Florida: Celebrating Florida's Hispanic Heritage."

Submission Deadline: Aug. 24

If artwork is accepted, the drop off will be between Aug. 30-31. Exhibition will be on display Sept. 2 through Nov. 2 at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland

Opening Reception will be on the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15th, from 5-7 p.m.

Guidelines:

FEES/SALE: An exhibition fee of $20 per artist (not per artwork, if multiple pieces are selected) will be collected upon selection of pieces for this exhibition - the proceeds of which will go towards the opening reception. A QR code will be placed next to your artwork if you wish to allow it to be for sale linking to your website or other method of sale. When a piece is sold while on exhibit, the artist will receive 100% of the sale but must agree to keep it on display until the exhibition ends.

MEDIUMS: 2D artwork must be able to be hung on the wall with our gallery hook system. 3D sculptures and photography are also encouraged.

LIABILITY: the artists are responsible for insuring their artwork. Artists must sign a liability agreement upon acceptance of the artwork. If you have any questions about this, please contact us using the email above.
